An original article, studying the effects cushioned insoles have in reducing impact forces during running, was published in the January/February 2008 issue of the Journal of the American Podiatric Medical Association. Test subjects performed five running trials with a running shoe only and five running trials with the running shoe and a Sorbothane® shock absorbing insole.
