When a leading manufacturer of medical devices needed a superior shock absorber to protect its infusion pump unit, they turned to Sorbothane®. A Sorbothane®, gasket-type isolator was engineered to protect the LCD on the new infusion pump from drop shock damage. In addition to the usual battery of tests, the unit was thrown from a car traveling at 45 MPH. It survived, unharmed and fully operational, thanks to the shock absorbing qualities of Sorbothane®.
