Keep Your Gear Safe When Your Band Tours with Vibration Control

Being in a band and going out on the road to do shows can be really exciting and a lot of fun, but there are also many things that you must worry about as well when you are on tour. One of the most important things you need to worry about, besides getting paid, is making sure that your gear makes it to each show safe and sound. After all, you spend a lot of money on your instruments, amplifiers and other gear, so it is really important that you do all you can to take care of it so that it lasts for many years. After each show, you pack up your gear and move on to the next town. But, how well is your gear packed, and what kind of shape is it going to be in when you arrive? If you are using anti-vibration pads made with Sorbothane, you can be sure that your gear is going to be safe.

It’s All About Vibration Control

Obviously, when you are rocking out on stage, you are relying on vibrations to create the sounds coming from your instruments. These are vibrations you want. The vibrations you don’t want are those that come from being carted around from place to place. Being in the back of a cube van can get pretty bumpy, and without the proper type of vibration control, your instruments and other gear could end up damaged, meaning that you either have to repair or replace it before the next show.

When you are packing up your gear at the end of each show, make sure that you are using anti-vibration pads made with Sorbothane. This is a viscoelastic polymer that will absorb shock caused by vibrations by as much as 94.7%. This material has liquid and solid properties: the solids storing energy and later releasing it; and the liquids dispersing that energy into another form. This is what helps to protect your gear as it is being transported.

Another great use for these pads is actually on stage. You can put them underneath your amplifiers to keep them from vibrating the floor too much, which can damage your equipment, and at the very least, produce sounds you don’t want. These pads are also awesome for mounting cameras, so you can get videos of your performances without having the camera shake due to vibrations.

The Large Sizes You Need Are Available

A lot of your gear is probably pretty large, such as your amplifiers, but you don’t have to worry about having to piece together a bunch of pads to protect it during transport. There are many different uses for the pads too. You can use them on the pallets you use to move the gear from your van or truck to the stage, and it can be used to pack your gear in the vehicle so the vibrations from driving don’t damage anything. The pads will be between everything, so nothing is going to bang together, and everything is going to be steady throughout the ride.
